Batuuan Beef Pot Roast


Batuuan Beef Pot Roast, a meat-based culinary creation, was offered at Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo, situated within Black Spire Outpost on the planet Batuu during the year 34 ABY. This dish was designed to be eaten by humans. Artiodac chef Strono Tuggs prepared it using Batuuan cows that grazed on the grasslands of Naboo, in combination with mushrooms, assorted greens and pasta.

Behind the scenes

The Batuuan Beef Pot Roast first appeared in the real world under the title Braised Shaak Roast at Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo in Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge; with variations in the name, it has been a menu item since the park's launch in 2019. The components of the dish are beef pot roast accompanied by cavatelli pasta, wilted kale, and mushrooms. A recipe for this offering, presented as Braised Shaak Roast, is featured within the 2019 cookbook Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge: The Official Black Spire Outpost Cookbook, authored by Marc Sumerak and Chelsea Monroe-Cassel. Differing from its in-universe counterpart, Batuuan Beef Pot Roast, the real-world Braised Shaak Roast doesn't incorporate shaak.
