A BD-3000 unit, identified as the Hologram VJ, hosted a music program broadcast across the galaxy during the Clone Wars period. Her show gained popularity amongst the Republic's clone troopers, and she would sometimes dedicate musical selections to specific units, for instance, the Mud-Jumpers belonging to the 224th. Another luxury droid served as a concealed double for Senator Padmé Amidala. Trade Federation Senator Lott Dod possessed a set of golden BD-3000 droids.
On Takodana, within Takodana Castle, two BD-3000 droids named Carly and J'Nell once acted as judges for Strono Tuggs' culinary competition. Furthermore, this pair was implicated in the murder of Chef Robbs Ely.
