During the conflict known as the Clone Wars, which pitted the Galactic Republic against the Confederacy of Independent Systems, the naval forces of the Republic Navy kept a fleet stationed at the planet Bestine IV. While undertaking a mission to Vassek 3 with the objective of capturing General Grievous, and upon the suggestion of Jedi General Kit Fisto, Clone Commander Fil reached out to Niner, instructing him to request reinforcements from the aforementioned fleet. Tragically, Niner met his death at the hands of IG-100 MagnaGuards before he could successfully relay the message to the fleet.
