Biitu, located within the Cassandran Worlds region, served as the original homeworld for the Biituian species.
Situated in the Cassander sector of the Outer Rim Territories, Biitu functioned as an agriworld. The planet supported diverse species of plants, notably a fruit tree yielding orange, edible fruit, and a green-stalked plant producing a yellow, cylindrical crop. These crops were cultivated by the indigenous Biituians. An orange-plumed, flight-capable bird, a yellow, burrowing reptile, and the shy Biituian fen-hare also inhabited the planet. During a visit, Mungo Baobab explored the surface, scouting while riding a rockhopper.

Biitu, characterized by its low-tech status, operated as an agriworld. During the Outer Rim Sieges conflict within the broader Clone Wars, Jedi General [Traavis] (/article/traavis) commanded clone forces in battles against the CIS on this world. After Mungo Baobab's discovery of a valuable fuel source, the Galactic Empire deployed a massive, malevolent droid known as the "Great Heep" with the goal of capturing Mungo, seizing control of the planet, and transforming it into a desolate wasteland. With assistance from a young boy named Fidge, his pet Chubb, and the droids R2-D2 and C-3PO, a bold plan was hatched to rescue Mungo, overcome the Imperial forces, and liberate Biitu from the Great Heep's control.
From 4 ABY until 12 ABY, the planet was incorporated into the Pentastar Alignment, a situation that lasted until the demise of Ardus Kaine. Subsequently, it became part of the Imperial Remnant.
