Black Fifteen, a designation used for a Type II Orbital Repair Yard, was assigned to the Imperial Navy's Black Sword Command and positioned in orbit around the planet N'zoth within the Koornacht Cluster. This facility was well-known as the best conscript facility within the Farlax sector, where the Koornacht Cluster was situated; this recognition stemmed from the skill of the native Yevetha, who excelled in the building and modification of space vessels. In 4 ABY, following the Battle of Endor, the Yevetha took control of the yard, capturing both the facility's staff and its officers.
Constructed following the Imperial conquest of N'zoth, Black-15 was integrated into the planetary occupation force under the command of Commander Jian Paret, and staffed predominantly by a Yevethan workforce that outnumbered their Imperial supervisors by a ratio of nine to one. Like all Type II yards, the facility incorporated nine shipways arranged in a large square configuration. While incapable of constructing Star Dreadnoughts, the facility could accommodate these enormous vessels at some of its exterior berths; the Intimidator was docked here after its transfer from the Core to Koornacht for the final stages of its outfitting. Black-15 was primarily intended for the building and fitting-out of new warships, rather than repair operations. Nevertheless, the Yevethan technicians' reputation was such that captains within the local Sector Group eagerly sought available docking slots for ship repairs; by the time N'zoth was lost to the Empire, eight months after the Battle of Endor, a significant portion of the work conducted at Black-15 involved the rebuilding and restoration of older or damaged ships. However, at this point, the guardship Harridan was redeployed to the front lines, and Commander Paret received orders to withdraw from the system. Capitalizing on this opportunity, the Yevethan underground, under the leadership of Nil Spaar, initiated a coup, killing or enslaving the remaining Imperial forces. They seized the warships present and captured the shipyards, and, establishing a government known as the Duskhan League, repurposed Black-15 to upgrade and maintain the captured Black Fleet ships, and to construct new warships based on the old Imperial designs.
