N'zoth was designated as the fifth planet within the N'zoth system. Its location was within the Farlax sector which itself resides in the Koornacht Cluster of the Core Worlds. Significantly, it served as the original homeworld for the Yevetha species.
The planet N'zoth exhibited an arid environment, possessed standard gravitational forces, and featured an atmosphere suitable for respiration by most sentient beings. The notoriously brutal and xenophobic Yevetha constituted the sole sentient species inhabiting the planet, though other indigenous lifeforms, such as the siringana, displayed similar levels of ruthlessness. Giat Nor functioned as the primary capital city for N'zoth and, subsequently, for the Duskhan League. Furthermore, this planet served as the operational headquarters for Nazfar Metalworks.
During the era of the Galactic Republic and concurrent with the Clone Wars, N'zoth was consistently located within territories controlled by the Republic. Following the demise of the Separatist Council on Mustafar and the subsequent capitulation of the CIS, N'zoth automatically transitioned into the domain of the Galactic Empire.
While under the rule of the Galactic Empire, N'zoth accommodated Black Fifteen, an Imperial orbital shipyard. This installation was later seized by Yevethan insurgents, the majority of whom had been employed at the shipyard before the uprising.
Following a succession of expansionist campaigns marked by genocide and xenocide, along with a period of intense political maneuvering, the Yevetha and the New Republic engaged in a fierce conflict. The Battle of N'zoth represented the culminating event of the Black Fleet Crisis.
Subsequently, the Yuuzhan Vong initiated an assault on N'zoth. This was prompted by information obtained from the Fia of Galantos, indicating that the Yevetha might present a future threat to their strategic rear. The Yuuzhan Vong ravaged N'zoth and inflicted severe damage upon Yevethan society by relentlessly pursuing them throughout the Koornacht Cluster, ultimately reducing them to the status of an endangered species.
During the Second Galactic Civil War, N'zoth was selected as the venue for a meeting between Luke Skywalker and Admiral Cha Niathal. This encounter marked the beginning of the formation of an alliance directed against Darth Caedus.
