Jendan Blyes
Jendan Blyes was a male Human Mantellian Trooper. He served the Ord Mantell Central Authority, which was backed by the Galactic Republic, as a member of the Mantellian Army. Blyes fought against the Mantellian Separatist Movement during the Separatist War.
Biography
Blyes, a male Human, was a member of the Galactic Republic's army during the Cold War, a conflict between the Republic and the Sith Empire. Stationed on the Republic planet of Ord Mantell, he held the rank of sergeant during the Separatist War. This civil war saw Republic forces supporting the local government against the anti-Republic Mantellian Separatist Movement.
The Separatists eventually invaded Drelliad village, a strategically important location between the Republic base of Fort Garnik and Separatist territory. Blyes and his Thirty-first Recon squad were tasked with scouting the village, but they encountered a Separatist force near the entrance. During the firefight, the sergeant attempted to contact Fort Garnik headquarters, but the Separatists were using signal jammers within the village.
As a result, Blyes was compelled to request assistance from a Republic-aligned individual who happened to be passing by. He needed them to disable the signal jammers to restore communication between his recon team and the rest of the Republic forces, allowing them to report the situation. The individual accepted the mission, successfully disabling the three signal jammers, eliminating several Separatists in the process, and returned to the Sergeant, who rewarded their rescuer with a weapon from his armory.
Personality and traits
While stationed in Drelliad village, Blyes wore standard Republic Army attire for Ord Mantell: blue armor, a matching ribbed helmet, and beige pants. He carried a dark blaster rifle, which he kept slung across his back when not actively using it.
Behind the scenes
Blyes is a non-player character featured in Star Wars: The Old Republic, the massively multiplayer online role-playing game developed by BioWare and released in 2011. Nolan North provides his voice. He is one of the initial NPCs encountered by players of the Trooper or Smuggler classes, as he is located near their starting points. Players of the Imperial faction cannot interact with Blyes, as there is currently no way for Imperial characters to access Ord Mantell.
