During the Galactic Civil War, a criminal organization known as the Bofa Treat Gang operated on the planet Corellia. Lucien Bender held the position of leader within this group.
After his three sons – Hraykken, Draykken, and Louis Bender – fled from his abusive behavior with assistance from a man who would later be known as the Meatlump King, the cyborg and deranged scientist Lucien Bender established the Bofa Treat Gang. The man and the Bender brothers then went on to create the Meatlumps, a group of fanatics with a strong aversion to technology, named after their preferred food. In response to this development, Lucien Bender founded the Bofa Treat Gang, taking its name from bofa treats: a type of sweet, dried snack made from fruit.
Following the Battle of Yavin, Lucien Bender, driven by vengeance, offered a bounty for the capture of his three disloyal sons. However, he disregarded the fact that a significantly larger bounty had been placed on him and his criminal organization. In 1 ABY, the Trandoshan bounty hunter Bossk was contemplating the capture of the three sons when he learned about the much more valuable bounty on Lucien. Consequently, he chose to use the three brothers as bait to claim it. Shortly after capturing the first brother, Louis Bender, near Kor Vella, a spacer with ties to the Meatlump gang arrived at Bossk's small camp, which was located near the Bofa Treat Gang's hideout. Bossk coerced the Meatlump to eliminate the Bofa Treat Gang and its leader in exchange for Louis Bender's freedom. The spacer infiltrated the hideout, battling his way through the bunker until he finally confronted Lucien. The resulting gunfight led to Lucien's demise.
The Bofa Treat Gang was featured in the 2003 video game Star Wars Galaxies, a massively multiplayer online roleplaying game that was developed by Sony Online Entertainment and published by LucasArts. The game was shut down on December 15, 2011. The gang was introduced to the game through "Game Update 10," which was released on June 2, 2009.
