Bormus

Bormus, a planet situated in the Mid Rim of the galaxy, existed under the authority of the Galactic Republic during the Clone Wars, a conflict waged against the Confederacy of Independent Systems. At a facility orbiting the planet, Koensayr Manufacturing was performing initial trials of the BTL-B Y-wing starfighter/bomber as part of the Y-wing project overseen by Republic Senator Ask Aak; this was despite the Republic already deploying some BTL-B Y-wings as a symbol of power before the Clone Wars even began.

Jedi General Anakin Skywalker put in a request to Koensayr for a squadron of the BTL-B bombers; however, this request was denied because Senator Aak harbored resentment towards Skywalker for his failure to prevent the assassination of Aak's forerunner, Senator Aks Moe. Given that the Republic Military viewed the Y-wing project as critical to a successful military campaign, General Skywalker chose to take the necessary ships directly from the orbital workshops, instead of reporting Senator Aak's decision to higher authorities.
