Bounty Hunters #32 marks the thirty-second installment of the 2020 canon comic book series titled Star Wars: Bounty Hunters. On September 14, 2022, Ethan Sacks, the writer, announced via Twitter that he was in the process of writing the script for this specific issue. Sacks noted that there was limited established background information about the planet Gand, allowing him the opportunity to, as he put it, make a unique contribution to the Star Wars galaxy through the narrative of issue number 32.
On page two, the Raider II-class corvette called the Corvus is shown as its New Republic variant, but at the beginning of Star Wars Battlefront II, which chronologically occurs after the events of this issue, the Corvus appears in its Imperial configuration.
