Corvus (Raider II-class)

During the Galactic Civil War, Inferno Squad utilized the Corvus, a Raider II-class corvette. This vessel was originally part of the Imperial fleet, but it transitioned to the New Republic after Commander Iden Versio and Agent Del Meeko defected from the Empire. The Corvus played a role in the final battle that signified the end of the war and the Empire. Decades later, Meeko used it as a cargo transport, but the First Order seized it on Pillio while he was searching for Lor San Tekka and the map leading to Luke Skywalker. Subsequently, the Retribution, under the command of First Order Commander Gideon Hask, destroyed it over Vardos in an attempt to eliminate Zay Versio, the daughter of Iden and Del.

Features

Being an Imperial _Raider II-class corvette, the Corvus had a length of 150 meters, classifying it as an assault starship.

Before its assignment to Inferno Squad, the ship underwent a complete overhaul and was equipped with cutting-edge computer systems.

Initially, the ship required a crew of two pilots, with all members of the Squad taking turns at the helm. However, it was eventually modified to be operated by a single pilot.

Background

Galactic Civil War

The Corvus engages with Alliance forces in the debris field over Endor.

After the successful conclusion of their initial mission, the starship was given to Inferno Squad for use in operations where its capabilities would be an advantage.

The ship was involved in numerous missions undertaken by Inferno Squad, such as the escape from the Invincible Faith, the Battle of Endor, and the Attack on Fondor. During the Skirmish on Vardos, Versio and Meeko, two members of Inferno Squad, abandoned the Empire, taking the Corvus and a group of refugees from Vardos. Following their escape from the Imperials, some of the Corvus's crew chose to remain with the defectors, protecting the Vardos refugees from those who did not share their decision.

The Corvus participated in the Battle of Jakku.

Following the defection of Agent Del Meeko and Commander Iden Versio, the Corvus was transferred to the New Republic operation. Subsequently, the ship received a new paint scheme reflecting the New Republic's colors and underwent extensive modifications. The solar panels on its sides were removed, and its engines were replaced.

Cold war

The Corvus is shot down

During the time of the First Order's rise, Jinata Security forces captured the ship on the planet of Pillio. Kylo Ren sought out Del Meeko, who was aboard the vessel. After eliminating Meeko's crew and extracting information about the location of Lor San Tekka, Ren handed the former Imperial over to Gideon Hask, Meeko's former comrade, who executed him on the bridge of the Corvus. Hask then instructed Protectorate Gleb to abandon the ship on the planet to lure Versio into an ambush.

Later, Shriv Suurgav's scanners detected it while he was investigating Project Resurrection for the Resistance. Unaware of Meeko's fate, Iden, Zay, and Shriv examined the ship's logs and discovered a previous visit to Athulla. With the logs as their only clue, the trio decided to travel to the planet aboard the Corvus to uncover the truth behind Meeko's disappearance. Shortly after their arrival, a Jinata Security fleet appeared. After a brief engagement between the two sides, the Corvus traveled to Vardos, where the Retribution shot it down and destroyed it in an attempt to kill Zay.
