Breslin Drake

Before his transfer to administrative roles, Drake served the New Republic with distinction as both a commando and a field intelligence operative. He was then assigned the task of developing a network of agents and data centers, referred to as the "Archive system." Drake discovered that the Wraith, an Imperial spy, had breached the security of one of his installations, thereby endangering the entire operation. Despite being denied permission to return to field work to pursue the Wraith, Drake was forced to watch as the spy dismantled the network. He then stole a shuttle and began his own pursuit of the agent.

Drake tracked the Wraith to the Kathol sector, and spent two years hunting for the spy there. He posed as a tech merchant, trading technology throughout the sector, and spent several months on Tanquilla Beach, where he interacted with Spang. He discovered that the Wraith was employed as an assassin by Moff Kentor Sarne.

Drake lost the Wraith's trail a few months prior to the Battle of Kal'Shebbol. He stopped on Pembric II on his way back to Kal'Shebbol, just before the Bombaasa Cartel seized control, and consequently lost his merchandise due to bureaucratic procedures designed to keep independent traders dependent on the Cartel. Drake took a position managing the ThrusterBurn Tapcafe while he devised a plan to leave the planet. When the crew of the New Republic CR90 corvette FarStar arrived, seeking his assistance in locating a slicer believed to have worked for Moff Kentor Sarne, a man Drake identified as Gaelin, Drake aided the FarStar landing party in their escape from the planet, and left with them. He became a member of the corvette's crew, serving as a tactical advisor and counter-intelligence expert.

Later, Breslin went back to New Republic Intelligence, joining the Special Threats Division and earning a promotion to the rank of Colonel.

Drake was a tall, heavily muscled man with extensive scarring on his face and hands. He possessed agility and skill in close combat, along with a sharp intellect. Driven and possessing a ruthless nature, Drake was either a formidable adversary or a valuable compatriot.
