Bress Shan, a male Human, was born to Vaner and Emess Shan. He was also the grandson of the renowned Jedi Knights Revan and Bastila Shan. Bress, born prior to 3900 BBY, was the elder sibling of his sister Reesa, and both siblings had inherited the Force-sensitivity of their grandparents. In 3900 BBY, Vaner took his wife and children to visit his mother on the anniversary of Revan and Bastila's wedding. Revan had vanished into the Unknown Regions more than fifty years prior. Before being sent to bed by their mother so Vaner could have time alone with Bastila, Reesa and Bress spent the evening playing with their grandmother in her apartment. The Shan family line, through Bress and Reesa, would persist for centuries, with descendants including the Jedi Knight Tasiele Shan, her daughter Satele, and Satele's son Theron.
