Broon Ters

BroonTers2-CSWE Broon Ters's pazaak game with Doton Het Broon Ters existed during the same period as Doton Het, a Twi'lek. Het was involved in the Dark Wars, a series of battles fought between the Galactic Republic and what remained of Darth Revan's Sith Empire from 3955 BBY to 3951 BBY. Ters once engaged in a game of pazaak, a gambling card game, with Het. At one point in their pazaak game, Ters and Het each had won two games. At that time, Ters had only two cards left, while Het still had three.

Behind the scenes

The original image

Broon Ters's name was initially chosen by players for the Jedi Exile in Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords, a video game created by Obsidian Entertainment in 2004. A screenshot from the game, depicting a pazaak match, was uploaded to the online Star Wars encyclopedia Wookieepedia by user Kaal-Jhyy to illustrate the game.

This screenshot was subsequently included in Del Rey's 2008 publication, The Complete Star Wars Encyclopedia, though the action box indicating Ters's victory in the fourth round was removed. While the name "Broon Ters" became canonical, the 2011 novel The Old Republic: Revan by Drew Karpyshyn identified the Exile as "Meetra Surik." This implies that Broon Ters was a distinct individual.
