Buzz was a squad leader among the clone troopers of the Grand Army of the Republic during the Clone Wars. He participated in the Second Battle of Geonosis, where he accompanied Jedi Master Luminara Unduli on a mission to locate and apprehend Poggle the Lesser for the Republic. Using speeders, they successfully located Poggle at a temple, unaware that it was infested with brain worms. During a reconnaissance mission of the temple, Buzz met his death at the hands of a reanimated Geonosian under the control of a brain worm. His moniker originated from the distinctive "buzzing" sound produced by his Z-6 rotary blaster cannon.
Buzz's Phase I clone trooper armor featured custom green markings, signifying his affiliation with the 41st Elite Corps, along with individualized modifications to his helmet. His primary weapon was a Z-6 rotary blaster cannon.
