Cahhmakt

Here's a significantly reworded version of the MDX content, maintaining all original meaning, markdown syntax, code blocks, and frontmatter:

A Trandoshan pirate by the name of Cahhmakt served as the captain of the [Red Eclipse], a vessel engaged in slavery. This slavemaster was a fearsome combatant, wielding a vibro double-blade with deadly proficiency.

When the [Ebon Hawk] landed on the Red Eclipse's landing platform, Cahhmakt, accompanied by several of his crew members, aggressively questioned Quello, the dock controller. Subsequently, they attempted to seize control of the Ebon Hawk. They also executed Ratrin Vhek, who claimed to have previously owned the freighter, under the assumption that he was a thief. However, Meetra Surik, the ship's current owner, returned and was compelled to defend herself against the attackers. Upon reaching Cahhmakt, Surik presented him with a choice: abandon his slaving activities, or face death at her hands. The obstinate Trandoshan chose to fight, leading to his demise at Surik's hands on board her ship.

This particular event, among others, caught the eye of Visquis, a high-ranking member of the Exchange. Visquis would later request a meeting with Surik in the Jekk'Jekk Tarr.

Behind the scenes

Alternate ending

During the confrontation between Surik and Cahhmakt, players have the option to compel Cahhmakt and his crew to swear allegiance to them. They will continue their involvement in the slave trade, but will leave the crew of the Ebon Hawk unmolested. Afterward, tribute can be collected from one of Cahhmakt's henchmen located in the Entertainment Promenade.

Whether Cahhmakt and his crew are killed or spared during this encounter has no impact on Visquis's decision to invite Meetra Surik to a meeting within the Jekk'Jekk Tarr.
