Visquis

In the annals of Exchange history, a Quarren figure named Visquis emerged as a prominent crime lord. He oversaw the Exchange's illicit operations on Nar Shaddaa until his demise in 3951 BBY.

Biography

Similar to Loppak Slusk's position on Telos IV, Visquis was an operative working under the direction of G0-T0, a highly influential leader within the Exchange syndicate. His usual haunt on Nar Shaddaa was his exclusive lounge located within the Jekk'Jekk Tarr.

As time passed, Visquis's dissatisfaction with his superior grew. G0-T0 appeared to be indifferent to the Exchange's well-being, focusing solely on data, status reports, and maintaining equilibrium. Consequently, Visquis forged an alliance with Vogga the Hutt, who resented Goto for commandeering his freighters and destabilizing his enterprise on Nar Shaddaa. As part of this arrangement, Vogga provided Visquis with his most skilled bounty hunter, Hanharr.

Visquis conceived a plan to exploit the bounty that G0-T0 had placed on Jedi. His intention was to capture a living Jedi and present them to Goto. Up until this point, the enigmatic leader had only manifested as a hologram, but Visquis believed that a Jedi's presence would compel him to appear in person, thus creating an opportunity for bounty hunters to eliminate him.

Recognizing that Jedi tend to appear in situations involving oppression, Visquis instructed Saquesh, his representative in the Refugee Sector of Nar Shaddaa and also a Quarren, to escalate the pressure on the refugees. Despite rumors circulating about a Jedi's presence on Nar Shaddaa, specifically Master Zez-Kai Ell, this Jedi remained uninvolved in the conflict between the Exchange and the refugees. It wasn't until the arrival of another Jedi, Meetra Surik, on the Smugglers' Moon that Saquesh and the Exchange were driven out of the Refugee Sector.

Subsequently, Surik received a communication from Visquis, inviting her to a meeting in his private lounge. Aware that this was a trap, Surik nonetheless decided to proceed, as she and Kreia understood that traps can sometimes backfire. However, en route to the Jekk'Jekk Tarr, she was intercepted by Mira, who had been tasked by Zez-Kai Ell to safeguard Surik. Mira preemptively stole Surik's enviro-suit and entered the bar in her stead, hoping to negotiate a peaceful resolution, but her efforts proved futile.

Following this, Surik herself entered the Jekk'Jekk Tarr, utilizing the breath control Force power to withstand the toxic atmosphere. She single-handedly subdued Visquis's henchmen who attempted to impede her progress. This display of power prompted Visquis to reconsider his strategy and retreat to his clandestine underground fortress, concealed behind a labyrinth of ventilation shafts and guarded by his personal Ubese bounty hunters.

However, Visquis overlooked one crucial factor: Mira. He brought her to an arena within his hideout, anticipating that she would be easily defeated by Hanharr, but she proved to be a formidable opponent. She overcame Hanharr, evaded the Ubese bounty hunters, and facilitated Surik's entry.

In desperation, Visquis commanded all the Ubese to simultaneously attack the Jedi, but he suddenly realized that their allegiance had never truly been to him. G0-T0 was their true master, and upon learning of Visquis's betrayal, they turned against the Quarren, disregarding his commands. One of the bounty hunters then fatally impaled Visquis with a vibro double-blade, despite Surik's attempts to intervene. Following his death, they subdued Surik and delivered her to G0-T0's yacht.
