The Visionary served as the luxurious, cloaked transport for G0-T0, a highly successful Exchange leader who operated within both the Y'Toub system and Republic territories. Uniquely, this vessel was owned by a droid, and its entire crew consisted of droids as well, making it quite possibly one of a kind. The Jedi Exile brought about its destruction during the Mission to Nar Shaddaa.
G0-T0 adopted the alias Goto to maintain credibility and protection after departing the Republic's legal framework due to a computational conflict, thereby amplifying his influential reach as a criminal overlord. Goto, in reality, was a hologram projected from a standard Aratech model; this was the only form seen by others during meetings. G0-T0 primarily utilized his yacht as a base of operations and for conducting hijackings. A droid control center onboard coordinated thousands of droids across Nar Shaddaa and other locations.

When Vogga the Hutt commenced his shipping ventures, numerous freighters were pilfered, and their cargo was rerouted to support economically struggling Republic worlds. Following the yacht's destruction and the dismantling of his rival's operations on Nar Shaddaa, Vogga ultimately rescued Citadel Station by providing fuel reserves from Sleheyron as part of an agreement with the Exile, contingent on Goto's departure. Despite rising fuel prices due to the Peragus disaster, G0-T0 had previously disrupted Vogga's business, preventing him from demanding exorbitant rates.
Goto's yacht also served as a gathering point for bounty hunters, including Hanharr, the Twin Suns, the Zhug brothers, Gands, and HK-50 units, where they received their instructions. Believing that the Exile's presence could lead to the discovery of another Jedi, G0-T0 emphasized that her activities on the Smugglers' Moon were not to be interfered with.
After the Exile's capture, Atton Rand, with the assistance of T3-M4, orchestrated her rescue by stealing transponder codes from Vogga's warehouse. This allowed the Ebon Hawk to be identified as one of Vogga's freighters and subsequently be hijacked by Goto's yacht. The Exile destroyed the yacht during her escape on the Hawk with her rescue team. The deactivation of the ship's stygium cloaking device provided an opening for criminal rivals and bounty hunters to finally attack the elusive yacht. Its destruction significantly impacted crime and the economy within the Y'Toub system for years to come.
Thanks to his personal cloaking shield, G0-T0 was able to board the Ebon Hawk undetected as his yacht was destroyed. He presented himself as a gift from Goto, a token of goodwill, and imposed himself upon the Exile's company, claiming that tampering with his droid core would trigger an explosion capable of destroying a substantial portion of a planet. He joined the Exile in her efforts to stabilize the Republic and offered compensation, concealing his true identity until the Exile ultimately discovered it, leaving him to only deny it.

The vessel contained quarters that included torture chambers and holding cells, presumably intended for the crews of Vogga's abducted freighters and anyone who dared to defy G0-T0. Despite being a yacht, it boasted surprisingly robust defenses, including large turbolaser cannons on the exterior, floating mines, minefields, defense turrets, and a substantial contingent of droid guardians and maintenance drones inside. The boarding party that rescued the Exile had to navigate through all of these defenses, entering the yacht via the starboard docking bridge, which triggered the proximity alarm.
Various computer consoles throughout the ship allowed for tampering with certain interior defenses, such as the force fields of the holding cells, where utility droids could be found. These droids possessed programs within their memory cores that could be exploited to gain control over the ship's security measures. The audience chamber was the location where the Exile met G0-T0 and learned the reason behind the bounty he had placed on Jedi. The meeting was interrupted by the arrival of the rescue team. They located the Exile in the audience chamber, protected by a reinforced security door and numerous droid guardians and defense turrets.
The droid control center was situated at the central command, completely surrounded by mines that G0-T0 armed as the party approached. The Exile needed to reach the bridge to deactivate a docking hatch seal that was preventing access to the Ebon Hawk, which also deactivated the ship's cloaking device. This action allowed hostile ships to attack the yacht, with some even managing to board. As they hurried to the Ebon Hawk, the Exile and two of her companions were confronted by the Twin Suns in the exterior defense area, followed by Gand and Zhug bounty hunters.
The access codes for the droid controller on the yacht are incorrectly labeled as the codes for the M4-78 central computer. This error led some to believe that the M4-78 designation was assigned to Goto's yacht after the decision to remove the planet from the game, until the vessel was officially named Visionary in the Knights of the Old Republic Campaign Guide.
An inconsistency arises when the Visionary traps the Ebon Hawk. The Visionary extended a walkway to the Ebon Hawk's supposed airlock (located in or behind the turbolaser turret), but the Ebon Hawk actually lacked an airlock in that particular area of its structure.
Although the yacht's value is never explicitly stated, Goto later remarks that "The destruction of my yacht and all my activities on Nar Shaddaa carries a cost that would take you several lifetimes to repay."
