A cam, more formally known as a camera, was a device designed for the purpose of capturing light in order to produce images or moving visual recordings. The starship Ghost, which belonged to the rebel cell known as the Spectres, had its holotransmitter outfitted with such a device. Back in 4 BBY, Ezra Bridger along with his fellow Spectres gave a speech that was transmitted to the Imperial Communications Center located on Lothal using the holotransmitter's integrated camera. It was common practice for Imperial prison cells to have cameras installed as a means of observation.
