The Celanon Spur represented a hyperspace route that existed within the galaxy. Found along this pathway was the Pandem Nai system, which held within it the planet known as Pandem Nai. Also positioned along this route was the Mid Rim planet of Ord Mantell. Within the Cademimu sector of the Outer Rim Territories, in a section of space branching off the Celanon Spur that remained largely uncharted, one could find the gas giant Ajara alongside its moon, the jungle planet Ajan Kloss. This hyperspace route derived its designation from the astronomical entity known as Celanon, which itself was situated in the Outer Rim Territories.
As New Republic Intelligence agent Caern Adan planned an attack directed towards the Galactic Empire's 204th Imperial Fighter Wing – a group that had established fortifications on Pandem Nai after the Battle of Endor during 4 ABY – he dedicated time to analyzing the Celanon Spur. Adan believed that, although the Celanon Spur presented a more direct path to the planet, the 204th would likely have installed early warning systems throughout that specific hyperlane.
