"Char" was the moniker given to a TIE fighter pilot serving within the Galactic Empire's 204th Imperial Fighter Wing; this nickname was bestowed by pilots of the New Republic because of the carbon scoring visible on their TIE fighter. During the assault on the Oridol Cluster, Char perished while attempting to aid the rebel pilot Wyl Lark in his effort to rescue the planet Pandem Nai.
