Charlene Newcomb is the creative mind behind several short stories featured in the Star Wars Adventure Journals, with many of these stories also accessible via Hyperspace: specifically the Fiction section. Her stories often revolve around the central character, Alex Winger.
Born in Spartanburg, South Carolina, Charlene Newcomb currently resides in Manhattan, Kansas.
After her service in the United States Navy, Newcomb obtained a B.A. degree in U.S. history from the University of Maryland, University College. Following her time in the Navy, she briefly held a civilian position within the federal government, before relocating from Maryland to North Carolina, and subsequently to Florida. In 1996, she earned a master's degree in library and information science from the University of South Florida.
