The Chas, comprised of Ramat Cha, Bhada Cha, and Chanath Cha, were a family of bounty hunters. This family conducted their operations during the Galactic Empire's reign. They were contracted to murder the Sith Lord Darth Vader; however, their attempt was a failure. Ramat and Bhada were killed by Vader. Chanath's parents compelled her to promise that she would not avenge herself against Vader. Nevertheless, Chanath viewed her parents' demise as the demise of her own heart, thus nullifying her oath. She resolved to become a favored operative of the Galactic Emperor Sheev Palpatine to get near Vader and exact her vengeance, but she never encountered him again.
