The Chespea Temple, situated on the forest planet of Chespea, served as a Jedi Temple. This ancient sanctuary, a Jedi stronghold for numerous generations, accommodated a modest community of Jedi. Enclosed by the dense woods, it was distinguished by its golden rooftops. The Jedi Knights stationed at the Chespea Temple had unique traditions and practices, especially concerning their autonomy.
Following the 230 BBY assaults by the marauders known as the Nihil on the planets Aleen, Yeksom, Japeal, and Tais Brabbo, which resulted in a surge of displaced people, the Chespea Temple established temporary accommodations in its vicinity to offer aid and refuge to the evacuees. This act, however, transformed the temple into a target. Subsequently, a Nihil Cloud launched an assault, obliterating the temple in an attempt to communicate to the Jedi that they were the intended target of the Nihil's present and future offensives. Everyone inside perished, although the Padawan of Jedi Master Imgree managed to transmit a message to Coruscant, reporting the temple's destruction.
