A Chirq Council Mechanized Guardian.
During the Galactic Civil War, the Chirq Council employed a particular kind of battle droid known as the Chirq Council Mechanized Guardian.
Following the Battle of Yavin, the Chirq Council Mechanized Guardians were designed and manufactured at the Second Elite Council Bunker, which was located close to Doaba Guerfel.
In the year 1 ABY, the Corellian Security Force launched an investigation of the Chirq Council due to increased ryll smuggling on Corellia. Captain Vitala Baize placed a CorSec operative within the Chirq Council, who then found the locations of their hidden bases. During the CorSec attack on the Second Elite Council Bunker that followed, Agent Hurley Klakk was given the mission of disrupting the production of the Chirq Council Mechanized Guardians. Klakk determined that the most effective method to accomplish this was to eliminate the droids that had already been constructed. Consequently, he hired an independent spacer, a former CorSec employee, to assist him. The spacer infiltrated the Second Elite Council Bunker, engaged the Mechanized Guardians in combat, and successfully destroyed them.
The Chirq Council Mechanized Guardians made their debut in the 2003 video game Star Wars Galaxies, a massively multiplayer online roleplaying game created by Sony Online Entertainment and distributed by LucasArts, before it was shut down on December 15, 2011. These Guardians were introduced to the game in the "Chapter 1: The Corellian Captives" update, which was released on June 8, 2006. They shared the same design as the CY-M Prototypes and the ZH-28 guards.
