Chorgad existed as a celestial body with a terrestrial nature. In 3 ABY, operatives from the Mourner's Wail Syndicate perpetrated a bombing event on Chorgad, resulting in the deaths of soldiers affiliated with their competing organization, the Unbroken Clan crime syndicate. During that year, the bounty hunter known as Nakano Lash received information about the bombing from an acquaintance, a friend, while seeking updates. Furthermore, in the same year, General Vukorah of the Unbroken Clan launched an unapproved attack targeting a Mourner's Wail spice transport at the Smugglers' Refueling Station, located within the Outer Rim's Kessel sector, as retribution for the losses suffered on Chorgad.
The comic-book series Star Wars: Bounty Hunters, specifically its third issue from 2020, included a reference to Chorgad. Ethan Sacks authored the issue, and Marvel Comics released it on June 24, 2020.
