The coosta mouse was a species of mouse inhabiting the Temple garden located at the Jedi Temple on Tenoo, a planet covered in forest. During a visit to the planet Yamradi in 232 BBY, Kai Brightstar, a human Jedi youngling, took note of some small animals referred to as chylaroos. He remarked on their resemblance to the coosta mice due to their comparable looks.
The existence of coosta mice was brought to light in "Creature Safari," the second segment of the fifth episode from Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures, a Disney+ animated series. This episode was part of the first season and became available on May 4, 2023.
