As a close confidant to the Emperor himself, Palpatine, his time in this new office was unfortunately brief. His death occurred when Saw Gerrera's group of partisans launched an attack during the sakoola blossom festival. This event, planned as Tophervin's official inauguration as governor, turned into a massacre where all attendees were slain.
