The Corrupter Task Force was a task force belonging to the Imperial Navy that operated under the leadership of Admiral Garreth Holtz during the time of the Galactic Civil War. The group derived its name from the Imperial II-class Star Destroyer _ Corrupter_, which served as Holtz's flagship.
Although the _ Corrupter_ itself participated in the Battle of Hoth, where it sustained damage from the Rebel Alliance's ion cannon, the whereabouts of its corresponding task force at that specific moment remain unknown. It is plausible, however, that the task force was only formed following the battle, presumably when Holtz received instructions to locate and eliminate any remaining Rebel forces hiding within the Anoat sector.
The task force detected the presence of the Rebel Mon Calamari Star Cruiser named Defiance and relentlessly pursued it. However, the Corrupter, the task force's flagship, suffered significant damage, rendering it temporarily inoperable and allowing the Alliance forces to escape into hyperspace. As a consequence of this failure, Holtz was reassigned to patrol duties in the Outer Rim Territories; it is highly probable that the Corrupter Task Force accompanied him on this assignment.
