The Kraken was a corvette of the Assassin-class variety, belonging to the Corrupter Task Force which was under the command of Imperial Admiral Garreth Holtz. Captain Ollender was the commander of this vessel.
During the pursuit of the Defiance Task Force in 3 ABY, the Kraken acted as an escort for the Imperial II-class Star Destroyer named the Corrupter. While serving with its task force, the Kraken was caught in an ambush when two Rebel A-wings attacked the fleet with the goal of stopping the deployment of Imperial Probe droids.
