Dane, a male Human Bounty hunter from the Legends continuity, was the brother of a woman named Floria.
Following the demise of their parents, Dane and Floria were left as orphans. While growing up, they found employment at a cafe, working under the oppressive hand of a particularly cruel manager. Their circumstances changed dramatically when they uncovered their employer's secret: he was a wanted criminal originating from a nearby planet. The siblings orchestrated his capture, which then inspired them to pursue new paths as bounty hunters.
During the time of the Separatist Crisis, Granta Omega hired the pair to apprehend Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi while the Jedi were engaged in a training exercise on Ragoon VI. Accepting this proposition, Dane and Floria managed to get aboard a cruiser headed for the planet Aaeton. Dane was aware that the Jedi could easily deflect any shots from his automatic blasters. As they prepared to confront the Jedi, a sleeper bomb caused the ship to explode only a few minutes later. Perceiving the situation as excessively risky, Dane and Floria chose to befriend the Jedi, warning them of the dangers they faced.
Working together with the Jedi, Dane and Floria observed the Jedi struggling in their fight against the Teleq and chose to assist them in achieving victory. Hoping to discover Granta's location, the Jedi convinced the siblings to contact him, falsely claiming they had captured the Jedi and would meet him on Coruscant. This plan went awry when Hunti Pereg, another bounty hunter hired by Omega, attacked the group. After they eliminated Pereg, the siblings and the Jedi commandeered his ship and headed for Coruscant.
Years passed, bringing about the beginning of the Clone Wars. Dane and Floria decided to retire from bounty hunting, deeming it too perilous. They subsequently found work as bodyguards for Samish Kash, the leader of the planet Delaluna. They later accompanied him to the planet Null for a meeting with Count Dooku, the leader of the Confederacy of Independent Systems. However, when Samish was shot during a conference, Floria and Dane were falsely accused of attempting to assassinate him. Fortunately, they encountered Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi once again on Null. The Jedi repaid their past kindness by exonerating the pair of all charges.
