Dasita Lyros

Dasita Lyros, a human female who specialized in fashion-holography, later ascended to the position of art director within the Galactic Empire's Commission for the Preservation of the New Order. Despite her lack of combat experience, she achieved recognition by creating works that glorified the Imperial Military. To create propaganda posters like Expose, Pursue, Destroy, she utilized carefully arranged models in pristine settings, a stark contrast to the tumultuous battlefields of the Galactic Civil War. These models were allegedly selected from citizens who reported suspected instigators within their locales, though the reality was that they were chosen from individuals with pre-existing positive connections to the commission.

Lyros herself was featured in a COMPNOR Recruitment poster alongside Captain Edmos Khurgee. There were whispers of a romantic connection between them, but these rumors were eventually debunked. In the poster, Lyros is seen donning a black Imperial uniform complete with an Imperial kepi and a rank insignia plaque displaying a single row of six red tiles.

Behind the scenes

The character of Dasita Lyros made her debut in Star Wars Propaganda: A History of Persuasive Art in the Galaxy, a reference book published in 2016 and authored by Pablo Hidalgo. The illustration of her was inspired by a photograph taken by Amy King of the costumer Bria Silivren.
