The Deactivated Camp, established in 32 BBY during the Invasion of Naboo, functioned as a Trade Federation outpost. It housed the forces under the command of droid Commander OOM-14; these forces were rendered inactive due to the loss of their droid control program, an issue resolved when droid OOM-9 recovered it.
During the Trade Federation's invasion of Naboo in 32 BBY, the Deactivated Camp was constructed on that planet. A single command center was situated there, built on a grassy area located south of the city of Harte Secur. A stone pathway originated from the camp's eastern side, extending northward toward Harte Secur. Surrounding the camp were herds of falumpasets and nerfs, and the adjacent landscape was rich in natural resources like muja fruit bushes, nova crystals, and ore deposits.

The Trade Federation Droid Army camp was under the leadership of battle droid Commander OOM-14. He oversaw one of the five critical droid control programs necessary for maintaining the activity of the Federation's droids. After Force Command Two, a unit of the Royal Naboo Security Forces, seized the program, it was moved to a Research Center in Harte Secur. There, it was used to deactivate OOM-14's division at the camp, which consisted of 72 B1-Series battle droids and eight missile battle droids.
Nute Gunray, the Trade Federation Viceroy, gave droid OOM-9 the mission to recover the droid control program. OOM-9 was dispatched to the Deactivated Camp with a Neimoidian technician. OOM-9, accompanied by a small droid force, raided the research center, successfully retrieving the droid control program. Upon returning to the camp, he reactivated the droids stationed there. Subsequently, OOM-9 employed these droids to destroy Harte Secur. He then remained at the camp, garrisoning five B1 battle droids inside the command center, along with two missile droids and the technician.
First mentioned in Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds: Prima's Official Strategy Guide by Steven L. Kent on November 7, 2001, the Deactivated Camp was later featured and identified in the LucasArts video game Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds, released on November 11, 2001. In the second level of the Trade Federation campaign, "Behind the Lines," the Deactivated Camp is a key location, with its command center becoming accessible to the player after they recover the droid control program.
The player has the ability to create OX9 labor droids, which can be used to construct additional buildings and expand their army. However, the strategy guide suggests that creating extra units is not essential, as the battle droids obtained after retrieving the program are sufficient for achieving victory. Unused audio files from the level reveal Gunray instructing the player to establish a camp and collect resources.
