Dermos, situated in the Outer Rim Territories, was a planet and one of the five planets closest to Raydonia. The other four included Akiva, Geonosis, Mustafar, and Tatooine. In 3 ABY, the Imperial Security Bureau captured a group of insurgents who were plotting a raid on Dermos. These insurgents were responsible for attacks on shipping vessels throughout the Outer Rim. Dorna Parros, a reporter, covered the arrests in a HoloNet News broadcast.
During 4 ABY, Wedge Antilles, a pilot for the New Republic, disappeared on a scouting mission into the Outer Rim, searching for what remained of the Galactic Empire. Because Raydonia was the last place Antilles was known to be, Ensign Ardin Deltura, in conversation with Admiral Gial Ackbar regarding the missing pilot, suggested that Dermos along with the four other closest worlds may have been where Antilles jumped to after his mission to Akiva. Ackbar considered Dermos a plausible destination for Antilles. He dispatched scouts to all five planets to locate the pilot, who was actually being held captive on Akiva.
The 2015 novel Aftermath, the first book in Star Wars: The Aftermath Trilogy by Chuck Wendig, marked the initial mention of Dermos.
