Dhandu 3, frequently called Dhandu, held the position of the third moon circling the planet Dhandu. This celestial body served as the native world for the Turlossus, a gigantic six-legged reptilian species. Given the creatures' immense size, which posed a threat to any ground-based construction, the moon's inhabitants constructed their cities upon the Turlossus' broad, flat shells. Bridges and elevated walkways, capable of being raised and lowered, provided connections between various sections of these settlements. Furthermore, the moon was also inhabited by the sentient Dhanduese, a non-flying, feathered avian species.
Characterized by its grassy landscapes, Dhandu 3 was distinguished by its exceptionally weak gravity, necessitating that visitors wear gravity weights to ensure secure ambulation. Following their engagement by Mahjo Reeloo to assist in the theft of Novian rubies from Jayyar Lu-wehs' secure storage within the Undervaults of Gwongdeen, Han Solo and Chewbacca journeyed to Dhandu 3 aboard the Millennium Falcon. Accompanied as well by Hondo Ohnaka, the group's purpose on the moon was to acquire the key necessary to access Lu-wehs' vault.
