Dhandu, situated in the Expansion Region and the Interior at grid reference I-8 on the Standard Galactic Grid, was a planet. At least three moons orbited it, with Dhandu 3 being the home of the Dhanduese, a species of avian sentients who thrived in its low-gravity grassland.
This planet, Dhandu, had a minimum of three moons in orbit, one of which was Dhandu 3, the original homeworld of the Dhanduese avian species. It could be found in the the Interior and the Expansion Region of the galaxy, specifically at location I-8 on the Standard Galactic Grid.
A clone named Mahjo Reeloo, who was created by Kaminoan scientist Kolac Pru, engaged the services of smugglers Han Solo and Chewbacca in 10 BBY. Her goal was to be transported to the third moon of Dhandu, where she retrieved a security key needed for a deposit box located in the Undervaults of Gwongdeen. Later, in 34 ABY, Eloc Throno, a historian and writer, incorporated a map showing Dhandu's location in his book, Traveler's Guide to Batuu, a detailed guide about the planet Batuu.
Strono Tuggs, an Artiodac chef, journeyed to Dhandu 3 during a food-focused expedition across the galaxy between 34 ABY and 35 ABY. Tuggs referenced his travels to Dhandu 3 while describing his recipe for the Dhanduese Drums dish in The Ultimate Cookbook, his third cookbook, released in 35 ABY.
The first mention of Dhandu occurred in Pirate's Price, a novel authored by Lou Anders and published in 2019.
