Dinar was a settlement located near the equator on the planet called Lothal. Some years prior to the Battle of Yavin, an Imperial gone-rogue, named Jovan, made a stop in Dinar to locate a clandestine method of departing Lothal, with the intent of evading Agent Kallus from the Imperial Security Bureau, who was in pursuit. During this period, Dinar's inhabitants consisted of humans, along with a minimum of one Gotal. Furthermore, Loth-cats were observed wandering around the outskirts of the settlement.
