The Diplomat Hotel, often referred to as simply the Diplomat, was a sizable skyscraper that stood in the Federal District (previously known as the Senate District) of Imperial City, the planet-wide city found on Coruscant. Positioned in proximity to both the Galactic Courts of Justice and the City Municipal Authorities Building, this hotel served patrons from across the galactic community by furnishing simulated atmospheres tailored to each guest's particular requirements. Reaching from a floor at level 5120 to a peak visible above 5127, which was the surface level at that time, it encompassed a minimum of seven levels. On one occasion, Admiral Garrick Versio from the Galactic Empire's Imperial Security Bureau reserved a suite for the newly formed members of Inferno Squad. This suite came equipped with a kitchen, and the rooms featured controls that could gently rouse occupants with increasing light, offering an illumination scale from one to ten. Certain rooms activated their lighting automatically upon entry, and the lights could be extinguished through a spoken command from the guest. Senior Lieutenant Iden Versio experienced all of these amenities during her stay at the Diplomat.
