The Doan Royal Guard served as protectors for the Doan Royal House. During the New Sith Wars, Lucia, an operative of the Gloom Walkers, took on the role of bodyguard to Serra; subsequently, after Serra's wedding to Prince Gerran of Doan, Lucia became a member of the Doan Royal Guard. Serra dispatched Captain Jedder, a high-ranking officer within the Royal Guard, to aid the Huntress, an Iktotchi, in their mission to capture Darth Bane.
