Dohlbani sector

The Dohlbani sector existed as a sector within the Mid Rim region. It encompassed the Apoka system, notable for the Apokan silveroak; the Dohlban system, situated along the Kaaga Run hyperlane; as well as the Thrynka system. Furthermore, the Dohlban system contained a planet named Dohlban, which served as the native world for the Guineos, a sentient species. The merchant Jhensara once journeyed toward the Thrynka system, only to encounter an asteroid storm during her voyage.

Description

This sector, known as Dohlbani, was a part of the Slice region within the Mid Rim. Around 0 ABY, it shared borders with the Lannik Wilds sector in the spinward direction, and the Bothan and Endocray sectors in the trailing direction. Additionally, it constituted a portion of the Mid Rim's Rimward boundary with the Klina sector of the Outer Rim Territories.

The Dohlban system was situated in the northern area of the Dohlbani sector, while the Apoka and Thrynka systems were located in the sector's southern area. The Kaaga Run hyperlane provided a route connecting the Dohlban system to Void Station within the Bothan sector, as well as the Nar Kaaga system situated in Hutt Space.

Locations

Within the Dohlban system was a terrestrial planet also called Dohlban, serving as the original planet of the sentient Guineo species. The plant known as the Apokan silveroak was native to the Apoka system.

On one occasion, the trader Jhensara obtained a starship filled with cargo and set course for the Thrynka system in the Dohlbani sector, intending to sell her goods. However, en route, Jhensara's vessel approached an asteroid storm, leading her to realize she had not yet reached her intended destination.

Behind the scenes

The Dohlbani sector was first introduced in the StarWars.com Online Companion that supplemented The Essential Atlas, a reference book from 2009 authored by Daniel Wallace and Jason Fry. In 2012, a map created by Modi featured the sector; it was published in the Online Companion feature titled "Essential Atlas Extra: Sectors of the Mid Rim."
