Domaine de la Maison sur le Lac

Domaine de la Maison sur le Lac was a wine label. During the Clone Wars period, specifically during discussions regarding a military budget bill in the Republic's Galactic Senate, it gained popularity among its members, who enjoyed it at gatherings, smaller discussions, and celebratory events. Following the death of Rodian politician Onaconda Farr, who was murdered using poison added to a Domaine de la Maison sur le Lac bottle, the wine became the focus of an inquiry.

Behind the scenes

The fifteenth episode of Star Wars: The Clone Wars Season 2, titled "Senate Murders," marked the initial appearance of Domaine de la Maison sur le Lac. Although the bottle's brand name is not legible on screen, StarWars.com's trivia section for that episode clarified that the label states "Domaine de la Maison sur le Lac: Produce of Naboo." Distinctly, the brand's name is presented in High Galactic, utilizing the Roman alphabet found in real life, unlike the majority of writings in the Star Wars Universe. "Domain of the House on the Lake" is the French translation of Domaine de la Maison sur le Lac.
