Dooku's throne room
Dooku's throne room, also referenced as Dooku's chambers, and alternatively called Dooku's great hall, or simply the great hall, was a large room situated within the primary tower of Castle Serenno on the planet of Serenno.
Description
The chamber was expansive, featuring a very high ceiling. At the far end of the room, upon an elevated platform, sat the formal throne and desk of the Count. A circular window, 22-meters in height and constructed of glass, was positioned behind the throne. This window, etched with the sigil of House Serenno, allowed sunlight to filter into the room, casting a greenish light. A concealed turbolift, providing access to various levels within Castle Serenno's main tower, was located behind the desk. A connecting gangway provided direct access from the throne chamber to the Count's sleeping chamber.
History
Prior to the Clone Wars
In the time leading up to the Clone Wars, Count Dooku pledged to instruct Asajj Ventress in the ways of the dark side of the Force, but only after she proved her worth.
Clone Wars
In 20 BBY, from this hall, Count Dooku received an order from Darth Sidious to eliminate Ventress, which Dooku carried out. Later, during the Battle of Sullust, Ventress contacted Count Dooku in the same location, requesting assistance. He refused her plea and instead commanded a Recusant-class light destroyer to destroy her command ship, which she intentionally crashed into the main hangar. Subsequently, he informed Sidious that Ventress was dead, unaware that she had survived.
Within the great hall, Dooku engaged in combat with individuals he believed to be three Jedi, who were, in reality, Nightsister assassins wielding lightsabers: Ventress and Karis. Dooku emerged victorious and expelled the three attackers from the castle, resulting in the shattering of the hall's window.
Mother Talzin later contacted Dooku, suggesting that she could provide a replacement for a Sith assassin, given Ventress's presumed death. Intrigued by Mother Talzin's offer, Dooku traveled to the planet Dathomir to meet with her. There, he encountered Savage Opress, who had undergone magically enhancements by the Nightsisters, and accepted him as his apprentice.
Subsequently, Dooku trained Opress in the great hall, instructing him in the art of lightsaber combat.
