During the Clone Wars, Karis was a female Dathomirian and a member of the Nightsisters. Both she and her sister, Naa'leth, were considered to be the most skilled fighters in their clan. Mother Talzin dispatched the two sisters to assist Asajj Ventress in her mission to assassinate Count Dooku at his palace located on Serenno. They stealthily made their way through the forest, entering the building through an opening created by a lightsaber. Ventress used a poison dart to strike Dooku, but he immediately awoke and engaged them in combat. The Nightsisters ultimately gained the upper hand, with Ventress subduing Dooku and using the Force to remove his lightsaber from his reach. Unexpectedly, Dooku unleashed a burst of Force lightning, sending them crashing through a window. Karis later met her death during the attack led by General Grievous on Dathomir.
Karis was a member of the Nightsisters from Mother Talzin's clan on Dathomir. She and her sister Naa'leth were skilled with energy bows and were counted among the Hunters, who were known as the clan's most formidable warriors.
Talzin dispatched Karis and Naa'leth, along with Asajj Ventress, to try and eliminate Ventress's former Dark side master, who was also the leader of the Confederacy of Independent Systems, Count Dooku. The trio journeyed to Serenno to fulfill their objective, using magick to become invisible. Upon their arrival at Castle Serenno, Ventress fired a poison dart at the sleeping Count, which woke him up and started a duel between them. During the fight, Karis used a green lightsaber.
During the confrontation, Ventress managed to knock Dooku to the ground and separate him from his lightsaber. Despite this, the assassination attempt was unsuccessful, as Dooku used Force lightning to hurl Karis, Naa'leth, and Ventress out of a window. Karis commented that Dooku possessed greater strength than she had anticipated, to which Ventress responded that she had tried to warn her of his power. Despite their failure, Talzin recognized an opportunity in the defeat, believing that Dooku would now be eager to protect himself and possibly consider taking on a new apprentice.
Talzin's prediction proved accurate; Dooku was indeed eager to find and train a new assassin to protect him. Ventress eventually returned with a Nightbrother named Savage Opress after a difficult competition. Karis took part in a ritual to enhance Opress's power, giving him a better chance of becoming Dooku's apprentice. The ritual made Opress stronger both physically and mentally. Karis observed Opress taking his first steps with his newfound strength and witnessed Savage's final test, where he murdered his brother Feral.

Feeling betrayed by the Nightsisters' constant plotting against him, Dooku dispatched General Grievous and the Droid Army to eliminate the witches once and for all. As the Nightsisters prepared for the impending battle, Karis, along with Ventress and Talzin, witnessed droid fighters bombing the fortress before the main ground assault began. Unfortunately, the bombs caused a pillar to collapse, and Karis was crushed by the falling debris before she could escape. Ventress rushed to her sister's side and used the Force to move the pillar, but it was too late. Karis pleaded with Ventress to lead the Nightsisters to victory before succumbing to her injuries, becoming the first casualty of the battle.
