Dreshdae

Dreshdae, a settlement situated on Korriban, predated the Jedi Civil War.

History

Following the Great Sith War, it evolved into a quasi-capital for the planet, featuring a tavern named The Drunk Side that was infamous for its criminal activities. This included trade, transport docking facilities, smuggling operations, erotic entertainment venues, and serving as a gathering place for bounty hunters, mercenaries, assassins, and Sith trainees from the nearby Sith Academy.

During the Great Hunt, Duron Qel-Droma, Shaela Nuur, and Guun Han Saresh conducted an investigation on Korriban, seeking indications of a terentatek. They gathered intelligence at the settlement. After Guun Han departed to locate another terentatek on Kashyyyk, which ultimately resulted in his demise, Duron and Shaela proceeded to search the Valley of the Dark Lords for the creature.

The Dreshdae settlement circa 3993 BBY

Duron met his end at the hands of the terentatek, but not before receiving a final premonition. This vision foretold that a Jedi known as Revan would don the Qel-Droma robes, slay the terentatek, and vanquish Darth Malak. Decades later, his prophetic vision materialized as Revan and the crew of the Ebon Hawk pursued the Star Maps that led to the Star Forge.

In the aftermath of the Jedi Civil War, the Sith Academy experienced internal divisions and widespread turmoil, with rival factions vying for dominance. This infighting decimated the ranks of the Sith, leading to the abandonment of the academy. Consequently, Dreshdae lost a significant portion of its clientele and patrons.

Dreshdae persevered through the Jedi Civil War and stood as the sole inhabited city on Korriban when the Brotherhood of Darkness re-established the Korriban Sith Academy during the New Sith Wars, specifically in 1006 BBY.

One year prior to the Clone Wars, a contingent of Jedi under the leadership of Obi-Wan Kenobi and Siri Tachi visited Dreshdae while in search of Granta Omega and Jenna Zan Arbor. Furthermore, the Commerce Guild established several offices within the settlement.

Roughly a year following the Clone Wars, the scientist Jenna Zan Arbor was sighted in the city by Ferus Olin, while he and Trever Flume awaited the refueling of their transport. The purpose of her presence on the planet remained unexplained.

Dreshdae, together with the deserted settlement of Kaniset, were recognized as being among the rivals of the ruined city of Vardin in terms of size during the time of the Galactic Civil War.

Behind the scenes

In the video game Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords, Dreshdae was erroneously spelled as "Dreshae."
