During the events of the Search for the Fount of Rajivari on the planet of Tython, a confrontation unfolded at the Forge's ruins. This involved Yuon Par's apprentice (a Jedi Master) and Nalen Raloch, an unhinged Force-sensitive Twi'lek.
During the time of the Festival of Awakening, Nalen Raloch came across an old Jedi holocron that once belonged to the fallen Jedi, Rajivari. From this device, he gained a basic understanding of the Force. Discovering a reference to Rajivari's vast knowledge, he embarked on a journey to locate its origin. His dedication to safeguarding his village and loved ones led him down a path towards the dark side, influenced by Rajivari. The dark side began to corrupt his mind, causing him to become increasingly aggressive due to his obsession and paranoia for power. Despite the dangers Rajivari had set up, Raloch managed to overcome them, not because he resisted the dark side, but because he was deeply troubled by them, and he was protecting the source. In the main chamber, he encountered Rajivari's spirit and used the source's machinery to gain its knowledge. Sadly, this process was too much for Raloch's mind, causing both him and Rajivari horror. As a result, Raloch decided to seek revenge on the Jedi on Tython for abandoning the Pilgrims to the Flesh Raiders. His initial target was the Forge, the place where the Order's lightsabers were created. Soon after, Raloch began his search for the Forge, leading to his encounter with Yuon Par's Padawan, who was tasked with stopping Raloch and preventing him from destroying the Jedi Order.
Having acquired a crystal, the young Jedi quickly arrived at the forge and installed the First Blade's hilt into a lightsaber. Almost immediately after constructing the lightsaber, Raloch appeared, accompanied by two Twi'leks. Raloch's companions were hesitant to follow through with their leader's plan to destroy the Forge, even though Raloch attempted to persuade them that his actions were justified. Eventually, Allia and Keth decided to stay out of the conflict, and Raloch engaged the Consular in combat. Raloch initially gained the advantage, but the Padawan managed to disarm the Dark Jedi and ultimately defeat him. In agony on the ground, Nalen challenged the Padawan to kill him in front of those who revered him as a hero. However, the Padawan spared him and brought the injured Twi'lek to the temple for healing.
The Trandoshan hunter Qyzen Fess was so impressed by the Padawan's empathy and understanding of Raloch's shame and failures that he believed the young hunter was the Scorekeeper's Herald, a physical representation of the Scorekeeper. Fess swore allegiance to the newly appointed Herald, deciding to join them on their journey to regain his lost points. The Padawan then returned to the Jedi Temple to update the Jedi Council and Master Par on the mission's progress. There, Satele Shan, the Grand Master of the Order, informed them that Raloch was receiving kolto treatment following their battle. Believing that the Consular was ready to become a full Jedi Knight, Master Shan asked them to decide Raloch's fate as a final test. Believing in the possibility of Raloch's redemption, the Consular instructed that he be trained as a Jedi so that he could learn to control his developing Force abilities. Following this decision, Par declared her apprentice a Jedi Knight. However, during the ceremony, she suddenly fell ill. As Par was taken for treatment, Fess revealed that she had been suffering from her illness for a long time, a secret she had kept from everyone except the Trandoshan. It was decided to send Master Par to Coruscant, the galactic capital, in the hope that Jedi researchers—who were working on the excavation of the old Jedi Temple destroyed during the Sacking of Coruscant—might find a cure for her. Meanwhile, the Jedi on Tython would study the Consular's discoveries related to the Fount of Rajivari. The newly appointed Jedi Knight was then instructed to travel to Coruscant as well, in order to oversee Par's treatment.
