Durni

The durni was a small creature, similar to a rabbit, that made its home in the subterranean Selonian tunnels found on Corellia of old.

During the Galactic Civil War, a slang term used throughout the galaxy was "dust durni," which described a substantial accumulation of dust.

History

Following the Battle of Yavin, Doctor Maldien engaged in unlawful and extremely hazardous bioengineering experiments within a laboratory situated on Corellia, with the intention of producing highly aggressive and intelligent beings. This included durnis that had been genetically modified.

Around this period, a horde of vicious durnis infested an abandoned bunker located close to Kor Vella. The scientist Lejo Daramus compensated a spacer to eliminate the creatures so he could utilize the location for his own research.

During the Galactic Civil War, Galvain Tark trained three durnis for racing purposes. At some point, these durnis were pilfered by criminals belonging to the Chirq Council, but a spacer eventually recovered them.

Carson Vance, a Bith, had a pet durni named Peaches.
