The researchers, leveraging genetic components from the Arkanian Jedi Master known as Arca Jeth, embarked on a quest to genetically alter children before birth, with the intention of imbuing them with heightened Force abilities. This woman, along with her spouse, also a researcher, became the progenitors of the initial child, a female named Edessa, a name signifying "triumph" in the Arkanian language. Nevertheless, some years subsequently, the academy suffered an assault by Skyreaper drones belonging to the slaver group identified as the Crucible, resulting in the abduction of all the children, including the youthful Edessa.
