The Enrivi system existed within the Metatessu sector, specifically where the Mid Rim and the Slice regions of the galaxy intersected. Its location on the Standard Galactic Grid was designated as R-9. During 3 ABY, two starships belonging to the Rebel Alliance's 61st Mobile Infantry, namely the CR90 corvette Thunderstrike and the Braha'tok-class gunship Apailana's Promise, were ambushed by Galactic Empire forces in the Enrivi system. These Imperial forces included a light cruiser and a squadron of TIE fighters, and the ambush occurred a mere thirty hours after the rebels had escaped a battle in another star system.
The Galactic Empire's forces had followed a hypermatter trail emanating from the Thunderstrike's malfunctioning hyperdrive. However, they were ultimately defeated in the subsequent engagement, resulting in the death of all Imperial personnel. Following their departure from the Enrivi system, the rebel company discovered evidence that their starships were being tracked.
The 2015 novel Battlefront: Twilight Company, authored by Alexander Freed, marked the initial appearance of the Enrivi system.
