Eos was a planet located in the Outer Rim Territories. This world was rich in dark minerals and of volcanic origin. Notably, it housed a sizable droid foundry owned and operated by the Trade Federation.
This volcanic planet, situated in the Outer Rim Territories, could be found in the Eos system within the Cadavine sector. Eos orbited a single sun.
The Trade Federation constructed a foundry on Eos. This facility was fortified with a [deflector shield](/article/deflector_shield-legends], powered by eight generator pylons, and a massive planetary cannon capable of obliterating capital ships. A significant portion of the weaponry utilized during the Trade Federation's invasion and subsequent conquest of Naboo in 32 BBY was manufactured on Eos.
Not long before the Invasion of Naboo, the mercenary Vana Sage inadvertently discovered the foundry while tracking a damaged Hunter-Seeker droid to the planet's molten surface. There, she became trapped by the shield and was compelled to destroy it to escape. During this ordeal, she voiced her astonishment at the planet's capacity to "remain geometrically stable enough to form a gravimetric mass". Later, she teamed up with Nym, Reti, and Rhys Dallows and returned to assist Naboo by destroying the factory. Reti and Rhys remained in orbit to eliminate the cannon's targeting satellites, leveraging their superior speed. Simultaneously, Vana and Nym descended to the surface to dismantle the facility. Following the destruction of the Eos facility, the Trade Federation relocated much of its droid production to factories situated on Geonosis and Hypori.
Under the command of Brenn Tantor, the Galactic Empire also engaged in a battle on this world.
