Fal Tivvik was a Yuuzhan Vong Intendant (a female one), who at one point served as an advisor to High Prefect Yoog Skell. However, due to issues that arose during her [Escalation](/article/escalation] procedure, she ultimately became a Shamed One.
Belonging to the Intendant caste, Fal Tivvik was among those Yuuzhan Vong responsible for managing the administration and bureaucratic functions of their species. In her youth, Tivvik began advising a higher-ranking intendant, High Prefect Yoog Skell, and demonstrated exceptional talent as one of his most promising apprentices, which led to her selection for Escalation. However, during the escalation ritual, Ch'Gang Hool, the shaper overseeing the procedure—who later became known for terraforming Coruscant during the Yuuzhan Vong War—aroused High Prefect Skell's suspicion of making mistakes in the Escalation. As a result, Tivvik's implants were not accepted, and she was deemed Shamed, leading Yoog Skell to maintain a persistent skepticism about Master Shaper Ch'Gang Hool's abilities.
